Seasonal flu: is very common viral infection. Usually the condition resolves on its own with home care. Drink water and get a good rest. NSAIDs (e.g. Aleve, Advil) or Tylenol (acetaminophen) are also recommended every 6 hours. If they continue for more than 10-12 days, you may visit the pediatrician. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Sounds like a cold: This is pretty typical as the early signs of a URI in an infant. As long as they stay on their regular pattern of activities including feeding & rest, this can be monitored. Have nasal congestion, runny nose and sneezing made worse when exposed to low temperature. Nose blocks after sneezing. Do I have nonallergic rhinitis?
Possible: But in my experience, having sneezing spells (especially if you have eye symptoms) points more to allergic than non-allergic. Nonallergic rhinitis is a diagnosis of exclusion also since one needs to prove that allergies do not play a role. You may also have both allergic and non-allergic rhinitis as well. Try a nasal steroid spray ...Read more
Unclear: You may well have a viral illness and needs treatment as such. The symptoms are worse after you run. If you still feel the same way after you run then most likely viral and will take time to clear. Take it easy while you are ill with lots of fluid and may be advil (ibuprofen). Stuffy nose, itchy & runny after waking up, sneezing. Blowing nose helps. 2 prick tests negative. Smells trigger sneezing. Began after flu 6 yrs ago.
Nonallergic Rhinitis: With negative skin prick tests you are likely suffering from non-allergic rhinitis. Compared to allergic rhinitis, this condition has a later age of onset, prominent nasal congestion, and triggers including strong scents/odors, changes in weather, cleaning products, and cigarette smoke. Antihistamine nasal sprays like azelastine, sinus rinses, and chlorpheniramine are effective. ...Read more

Descending URI: It sounds like you have a mild upper respiratory illness that started with a sore throat. 90% of Pharyngitis (sore throat) comes from a virus, not a bacteria, and you can't take antibiotics for it. Most symptoms of the common cold can be treated with over the counter medication, decongestants and cough suppressants. High fevers, chills, and/or persistent sore throat warrants a visit to your doctor ...Read more

Allergies: I hate to say it, but itching/sneezing/runny nose, provided you're not sick at the time with a viral infection, is usually the result of environmental or seasonal allergies. Even if you've never had them before, you can actually develop allergies at any age, though don't give up hope as you can lose them too. It's worth checking your environment; any new exposures that could account for this? ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My son has a horrible runny nose and is stuffed up. Eyes are watering. Sneezing and coughing. Vaporizer, suction not working?
Allergies likely: Sounds like fairly typical allergy symptoms. A cold(uri) and allergy can be very similar, but a cold lasts 5-7 days and you feel more sick. Allergies last much longer, like for an entire season, or year round. You don't feel quite as ill with allergies. Consider trying otc antihistamines appropriate for the age of your child. You may need to see pediatrician. ...Read more

How long?: If these have been present for months or years, you likely have an allergic condition. If they have been present for less than a week, it is likely from a cold. For the congestion try an OTC decongestant spray but for no more than 5 days maximum- else you will likely end up with more problems. ...Read more
