See GI doc: I suspect that your reflux is likely the cause for your throat sensation and Prtnx may not be enough to control it. The fast heart beat is likely from the long acting bronchodilator in Advair. With just mild asthma (detected by methacholine challenge only), it is debatable whether you need to take Advair. Consider stopping it . Consider getting checked for vocal cord dysfunction as well. ...Read more

Did smoking cause my asthma?

Did smoking cause my asthma?

Possibly: Inhaling particulates like those in tobacco can cause attacks. These substances can cause inflammation which is the primary reaction in asthma followed by constriction of your lung "tubes". Of course, if you have asthma you should quit. I know it isn't easy but you must give it a try.
Good luck. ...Read more

Smoking weed with asthma, is this okay?

Smoking weed with asthma, is this okay?

Generally no: While weed doesn't cause as much problems with asthma as tobacco smoke, you really don't know what is in it, and any burned material being inhaled is not good for your longs. That being said, the active ingredients in pot, cannabadiol and thc, may have some bronchodilating properties. You don't know, however, whether the weed has been sprayed with insecticides etc etc. Not a good idea. ...Read more

What should I exspect when i've quite smoking crystal meth 'as knowen as jib' ?

Healthy longer life: Jib is just one slang term for crystal methamphetamine, and isn't any different than any other "brand" of this awful drug. What you should expect is relapse, unless you get involved in some form of support system. It is a difficult drug to quit, and congratulations on making the decision. There is no "withdrawal" syndrome, though fatigue and increased appetite and sleep may occur, lasting < 1 week. ...Read more

Can explain what's is the difference between smoking meth and inject meth?Is there any difference on the urine? How long will the urine clear?

Methamphetamine: Methamphetamine's elimination half-life is around 10 hours, and it's detectable in your urine for 1-4 days. It will remain detectable in your hair follicles for up to 90 days. It stays in your system longer when injected than smoked. The drug is extremely dangerous no matter how it's used -- you risk heart attack and stroke even when young. Very addictive too. Please stay away from it. ...Read more

Slightly elevated RBC, h&h and MPV. Only like 1 point above normal for about a month now. Can asthma, smoking or bronchitis cause this? Worried.

Maybe/depends,,,: Your h&h (hemoglobin and hematocrit) could be higher than expected due to the asthma as these indicate red cell mass and are important in oxygen carrying and increase to compensate for the trouble asthma may cause in getting enough oxygen. The MPV might just be a one time reading, but smoking and your Klonopin (clonazepam) use can affect platelets. It'd be smart to see your Dr. For more tests and discussion ...Read more
