Smelly Loose Stools In 3rd Trimester
third trimester I started having blood in my stool. But it’s 10 weeks after I gave birth via c-section and have mucus and blood in stools?
Loose stools is a symptom in which a person's stool (poop) does not hold its shape after it goes into the toilet. Instead of remaining a shaped piece of poop, the poop spreads out in the toilet bowl water. Very loose stool is called diarrhea. Loose stool can be caused by infections, certain foods or drinks, ...Read more
I have been having loose stools, almost like diarrhoea every morning. For as long as I can remember. Also smelly gas.

Having H2S burps (egg smell). No vomit or loose stools. Third time in 3 wk. Poss pregabalin cause? Other cause? Will charcoal tablets help?
Could be normal: Foul belching that smells like that could be a normal variant or related to your diet. However, there are conditions that can cause this. A gastric beazor (collection of food particles in the stomach) or gastroparesis can produce this problem. You should see your primary care doctor or a gastroenterologist to look into these possibilities. ...Read more

Yes: You should feel your baby move every day. Babies have sleep cycles and you may not feel them move while you are sleeping. If it has been more than a couple of hours since you felt your baby move, try eating a snack or drinking juice, often this will make babies more active. If you are still not feeling movement you should call your doctor or the hospital to listen to the baby's heartbeat. ...Read more

What are the most important vitamins needed in 3rd trimester and in approx what dose. Also is tetanus shot recommended if haven't had in 10 yrs?
Need more info: Need more info bout your general health. Nutritional counseling has to be tailored to the individual patient. I prefer to use every day products like mil, milk products, green veggies, soybean and calcium carbonate among others. Mega vitamins should not be given. Talk with your OB and/or with a dietician to get the most up to date advice considering your health status. ...Read more
A judgement call: Pregnancy complicates the removal of wisdom teeth in many ways. Choices of anesthesia and pain meds are more limited because of the pregnancy as well as concern for the greater weight of the baby pressing on the mother's vital organs in the third trimester. The decision to remove any tooth at that time must weighed against the possible risks of doing so then vs. Waiting until after delivery. ...Read more
Not too bad: Stressful feelings are a normal part of pregnancy. They generally should not harm the baby unless you are practicing any unsafe habits to deal with the stress like smoking, drinking or taking drugs/medications that are not cleared by your obstetrician. If the stress becomes severe, talk to your doctor for safe ways to help. Wishing you and your new baby well. ...Read more
Of course....: Sounds like a great way to relax. I'd take advantage of the opportunity now, as similar escapes with a small child, or a toddler, or a school age child, or a pre-teen, or a teenager will be few and far between, and in each case for different reasons. Enjoy this while you can, then enjoy all the joys of parenting to come. Congratulations and cheers to you.... ...Read more
Depends: As the baby grows, it presses up on the lungs and certain muscles in the ribs relax and you may feel like you are taking shallower breaths more often. But if this happens suddenly or you feel like you are really struggling, you need to see someone right away. Blood clots in the lungs are also more common in pregnancy and can be very serious. ...Read more
Depends on u: If you have been doing that before and all throughout your preg and u are having no problems then u prob can, if u have not been doing it already then- no, you must go slow because some people can start to get a little symnphysis pubis separation in the 3rd trimester and the eliptical could make that worse so if u notice any pain in middle where the pubic symphysis is then u must stop. ...Read more
Check with GYN:
My advise no unless you have been exposed and for active treatment not for prevention
last semester your baby is formed and the chance for birth defect is low so unless you are protecting yourself and the baby from active malaria wait until you had the baby
either way check with your local PCP or your GYN they now more about your location and your pregnancy
good luck ...Read more
Well: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is considered preg category b- the safest grading the fda gives. However there is a slight risk of eye issue when it is taken in the last 2 weeks of pregnancy if the baby is born premature based on some reports. Overall, I think the risk is very low. However there are other otc antihistamines which do not appear to be linked to this rare complication. ...Read more

Amalgam is safe: Although it's a controversial topic, according to the american dental association, and the most current well done studies, there is no evidence of any harm to either you or your baby. Personally, I don't place amalgam fillings in my office anymore, because there are such great tooth colored materials available now. However, if you were my patient I would tell you not to worry or lose any sleep! ...Read more
Timing: Group b strep is intermittently present in the genital tract. It is not a problem for the woman, but can cause serious infections in babies that are infected during birth. Early testing does not adequately predict presence or absence of the bacteria at the time of birth. The appropriate timing is 35-37 weeks unless there is already a reason for preventative antibiotics during labor. ...Read more
Yes: If the mom has her primary experience with this virus at any point in pregnancy, the fetus can become infected. If it happens, the most disabling effect seems to be it's effect on the babies blood forming activity. If it slows it down or stops even briefly, the fetus may not be able to keep up with the metabolic demands of growth & a condition called hydrops can result. ...Read more

Focus on nutrition: Focus on nutrition instead of the scale. Most women will gain weight due to fluid retention but many gain too much from over eating. Are you eating a healthy diet and exercising daily? If so, the lack of weight gain is not important. Your baby appreciates your healthy lifestyle. A pregnant woman only needs about 300 calories more per day in the third trimester. ...Read more

No: It is easier to do amnio in the third trimester when amniotic fluid is abundant. Uses of third trimester amnio include testing fetal maturity (surfactant, other levels) to time delivery when there are complications (e.g., maternal pre-eclampsia). Use for genetic testing may allow preparation for a severe disorder (e.g., fetal trisomy 18) without options for pregnancy termination. ...Read more
