Slight hyperopia: Your glasses have a very slight hyperopic correction. That is, you are slightly far-sighted or you are developing early presbyopia. Most likely you would use these glasses to help with reading. As we age, we gradually lose the ability to focus up close. Reading glasses help to bring close images into better focus. ...Read more

Night vision glasses: Many vision problems are worse at night, especially for driving. Correcting for any eyeglass prescription (ie refractive error) is the first step. Incorporating this in glasses with non glare lenses solves most of the problems. If a mild eye condition exists, like early cataracts, then tinted lenses might help. Any places that sell prescription eyewear can help. ...Read more

Sir I am 21 year old guy and I have long sightness. I am wearing -8 powered glass and I want to do surgery of my eyes. It is good for my health?
Most likely: Many factors are taken into consideration before deciding if you are a candidate for surgery. Just based on the -8 you could have a procedure such as lasik, prk, or an implantable lens. Be sure to research the procedure as well as the ophthalmologist for experience. A full eye exam with the necessary testing along with talking to your surgeon can help you decide. ...Read more

Depends: If you got glass chips in your eye from a shattered glasss, there would probably be no long term harm. If glasses are so near the eyes so much so that eyelashes touch the glass lens often...does it affect the eyesight /vision in anyway??
No: No, the position of your glasses doesn't adversely affect your eyes, but will alter the proper focus of the light entering through the lenses. Of course it also depends on how strong the prescription is, with extremely high degrees myopia or hyperopia the vertex difference does make a difference. Also the eyelashes do flick moisture onto the lenses altering clarity. You should make sure lenses fit. ...Read more
I'm 45 years old my problem is my eyes, I have always teary in both eyes, im using a reading glass 1.5 whar is the cause and treatment?
Why can't they make a progressive eye glass lens where the vision for intermediate and reading is wider... Even to the edge of the frame?
Not optically done: Progressive lenses have two issues: 1) giving a continuous grind to allow for several distances of clear vision and 2) cosmetic optics so that the continuous grind is not evident. They could make a lens with a much larger optic as you are hoping for but this would produce obvious optical distortions that would make the lens look odd and would not reach the edge of the lens anyway. ...Read more
My son scratched my cornea a few months back. Its fine until I rub my eye then itSTILL hurts and feels like I have glass in my eye. Why&what to do?
Woke up during night; centre of vision both eyes completely blurred, as though looking through crystal glass. Passed when turned on light. Eye dr asap?
Yes, get an eye exam: I would get an eye exam to rule out any problems that might cause this, although it is likely that the eyes will be found to be completely healthy. There are a few relatively rare conditions that could cause bilateral central vision blurring upon awakening, and it would be good to rule these out. A complete exam should be done, including dilation, to check the retinal and optic nerve health also. ...Read more
