Small bump in my eyelid? I have had this small bump in my right eyelid for about 2-3 months, after my previous stye went away. What should I do?

You : You should see an ophthalmologist. Typical conservative treatment involves warm compresses and antibiotic drops such as Azasite antibiotic drops, which seem to penetrate the lid tissue, may be useful. If there is significant inflamation, oral antibiotics may be useful as well. The bump is probably an chalasion, which is a swelling in the eyelid from a blockage in the meibomian gland, that secretes meibomian fluid as part of the tear solution. Probably stye: Styes are accumulation of greasy oily material in the eyelids that occur when the eyelid oil glands become plugged up. Why this happens is unknown, but it is a fairly common problem. If the stye is small it will usually respond to application of warm compresses. If it becomes enlarged and swollen then it may require surgical drainage. Sounds like stye: You can try hot compresses with cotton balls 3 -4 times daily for 20 minutes. In addition, you should see an ophthalmologist who can prescribe some antibiotic-anti-inflammatory drops 4 times a day..(tobradex works well.). ...Read more
