Tough to say: without a visual of what you are describing. It's very possible that it's a normal condition of the tongue because there are indeed many bumps on the tongue. Sometimes a map-like pattern of reddish spots can occur, called geographic tongue, which is harmless. If you have a fever as well, get checked ASAP to rule out scarlet fever which needs prompt treatment. Have someone take a look either way. ...Read more
