Could be acne..: Acne can take different forms, especially on the back and chest. There are some great creams that can help, and even some oral antibiotics may be appropriate. To help in the meantime, try to avoid synthetic fiber shirts, always shower immediately after working out and sweating and avoid scented or perfumed soaps. Folliculitis: What you are describing sounds a lot like folliculitis (hair follicle infection - mild). Often, the best approach is to use an acne-type body wash with benzoyl peroxide (bpo). Bpo is over-the-counter and well tolerated. Use it in the shower daily and try to leave it on for a couple minutes.
