Get checked: Could be a cyst or fat collection/lipoma. If you had an MRI and it was read normal there is less likelihood this is dangerous. I would see your doctor to review the MRI results and the area that is uncomfortable. Good luck ...Read more

Many possibilities.: 18 months is a long time for a child to be ill without a formal diagnosis. Sometimes blood with coughing is actually from the tonsils or sinus drainage, so look to the head as well as the chest and esophagus. After ENT exam, more thorough pulmonary studies like CT scan or bronchoscopy may be indicated, as well as GI endoscopy to assess esophageal inflammation like EE. ...Read more

Continue workup: A few screens for malabsorption / maldigestion are in order. A diet history may be helpful as well. Trust you had a thyroid check. Cystic fibrosis and gluten enteropathy are only two of dozens of things that can present at your age.
