Sounds like: This can be many things. Your description is very general. Most likely benign. Could be a sebaceous cyst or a lipoma. Have a doctor examine you. www.drlugo.com ...Read more

Get it checked.: if it is soft, painless and moves around easily, it is probably benign. Still, get it checked out. ...Read more

Floating ribs : The last 2 ribs are called floating ribs; they originate from the thoracic spine, but do not attach to the sternum/rib cage as the 10 other ribs above them do. Since one end of these ribs is "floating" and not attached to any other bone or cartilage, they may be felt a moveable lumps underneath the rib cage. ...Read more

Hi. I can feel a small (pea sized) movable lump inside the belly fat at my left abdomen, just under my rib cage. What could it be?

Skin lump causes: Lumps felt under the skin can have many causes from simple things like swelling and bruising from local trauma, benign cysts of oil glands, benign localized fatty tissue collections ( lipoma), infections ( boil or abscess), to more serious causes up to and including cancerous masses. Any persistent, enlarging or painful lumps should be evaluated. ...Read more

How long?: If it has been there for long time it is probably benign such as q cyst or fatty tumor. If it is recent there are other possibilities which would require a minor biopsy for a definite diagnosis and treatment. ...Read more
