See a doctor: This could be a cyst, a small abscess, a necrotic lymph node from a variety of conditions. You must be examined and treated by a physician. Good luck. ...Read more

Enlarged lymph node : Could be enlarged lymph node. You can develop these if you have any type of infection on that arm, ranging from torn cuticle or infected splinter to significant injury. A physician would need to exam you to be sure and likely you would have a blood test meauring your WBC count. ...Read more

Could be a: skin tag, a small lipoma (harmless fatty tumor), a nevus (or mole), a lymph node, a wart, or most unlikely, a skin tumor or cancer. Best if you would have it examined by a trained professional healthcare provider. And thanks for trusting in HealthTap. ...Read more

Likely a boil...: I suspect you have a boil under your arm (it is like a giant zit). Under the hair (hair follicle) an abscess/infection can form and as it enlarges, it causes that sore lump. It can be quite painful. I would recommend talking to your parents (as you are only 16?) about it so that they can call your doctor to have it checked out and treated. Good luck. ...Read more

Possibly: Most likely it is just an enlarged lymph node. If its been there for a short time you would most likely be ok with waiting an seeing if it goes away within the next week. If it becomes painful, swollen, res or you develop fevers then be seen sooner. If its been there a while then consider having it eyeballed by a doctor. ...Read more

I just got lab work back and it shows high lymphocytes (52.8%) and low neutrophils (39.3%). Is this concerning? The reason I went to the dr was because I had a small lump in my groin and occasional underarm pain. She thought the groin lump was a lymph

Lab finding by: itself is not too concerning. But enlarged lymph node, depending on size and if it feels indurated, can be sign of serious viral infection or rarely even lymphoma. Ask your doctor whether a lymph node biopsy might become necessary. ...Read more
