Small Lump In Pelvic Area
Hello, I'm 16 years old and just recently i noticed a small marble shaped lump near my pelvic area. I'm a girl and this has never happened to me befor?
Likely lymph node: That lump you are feeling is almost certainly a lymph node. We have thousands of these in iur bodies. They enlarge for numerous reasons, most commonly because of irritation or infection in that area. So one enlarged in pelvic region could even be from a scrape or bug bite on your leg. If it bothers you, have a doctor check it out to see if you need any specific treatment. ...Read more

I have a twinge like pain that keeps coming back in my left pelvic area. I can recreate the pain if i push down and i feel small lumps. Muscular pain?
Doctor can check: It can be hard to describe exactly where one's pain is, how the lumps feel, and where the lumps are. Some people who feel lumps inside the left lower abdomen (not in the groin, which would likely be lymph nodes) are feeling poop lumps inside the large intestine. If so, after pooping everything out (taking a laxative if needed), the lumps should be gone. A doctor can evaluate, if the lumps remain. ...Read more

STD? : The pea sized nodule you are feeling may be a lymph node and it may be enlarged due to an infection. The pelvic pain and back pain may be due to cervix infection. Usually these things occur together in something like Chlamydia infection and/or gonorrhea. Typically acquired sexually due to unprotected intercourse with a new partner or a partner who has acquired the infection from somewhere. ...Read more

Orgasms not the same: There is a good chance that your orgasm involved contractions of your uterus. It does not happen with all orgasms; certainly, women without a uterus still experience very satisfying orgasms. The top ( fundus) of the uterus may have been felt above your pubic bone with your fingers on your lower abdomen. More than one "lump" and felt that high up suggests you might have small fibroids (benign). ...Read more

Usually these infections lead to painful perhaps even frequent urgent urination. Bottom line, go see your Family Doc, GYN or Planned Pare ...Read more
Lumps in pelvic area, not painful. My dr thinks it's due to shaving, but would this still be the cause if its underneath the skin? Not ON my skin?
LumpyBumpyGrumpy: If it is due to shaving, then what happens is that those little hairs, after being shaven-down, lose their sense of direction (they don't have GPS yet) and get stuck just beneath the skin. Then they get pissed off and try harder but can't break back through or, actually grow in really screwy directions. That causes irritation and bumps. Some people are just prone to it: armpits, pubies, face (men) ...Read more

Needs evaluation: Lumps, bumps, blisters and other skin abnormalities on the genitals need to be evaluated. An examination will be needed to know the cause and treatment. I have a lump on my pelvic area on the left side it hurts when I put pressure on it what should I do?
See Dr.: You may have something like a simple cyst or early abscess on the skin that happens to be in your groin area, a folliculitis if you shave there, or it may be a lymph node since they are also present in that area. Either way, if it persists, you need to see a dr. For a clinical exam and evalutation of the area. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
