I have a small lump in my armpit that only hurts slightly when I press on it. Should I be worried?
Have a small round lump under my right armpit and hurts regardless if i touch it or not? What is it? Will it heal on its own? Its been there 2 days
Many possibilities: While i recommend that you see a doc to be checked, sometimes the glands in our armpits can become irritated, inflamed and/or infected. Your doctor's right: Almost certainly. Leave it alone. I'm going to assume it's freely movable and not fixed to surrounding structures. Many people your age have these. Lymphadenopathy: The doctor examining you is in the best position to make these decisions. Lymph nodes enlarge when they are doing what they are there for, fighting inflammation, and have some characteristics that can only be assessed by examining them.
