? Hives: Sounds like you may have hives which would be an allergic reaction. You can try taking some Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and see if that helps. If the rash persists, spreads, or you develop fever, make sure you get in to see you physician. Good Luck!

What are these small itchy bumps on my shoulders and arms?

Many answers: You need to check with your doctor and dermatologist who would likely want to know how long these bumps have been present, medications being taken, and other associated symptoms, a skin biopsy may also be needed.

I have small itchy bumps on my arm and one is blistering. What can this be?

Doctor can evaluate: Rashes are very difficult to describe in words, so an exam by a primary care doctor and/or a dermatologist is helpful, when the rash is present. Sometimes rashes occur from bug bites, fungus/yeast, reactions with chemicals, irritants, plants, allergens, etc... Itching makes it more likely an allergic rash or bug bites. If one cannot go to the doctor, a video consult on HealthTap PRIME may help.

Small itchy bumps from being in the sun on my arms. Occurs every summer. Itch is terrible.

Sun or allergy?: Some people get reactions like this whenever they are in the sun too long. Try to avoid direct sun, wear loose shirts with sleeves. For itching, try Cortizone 10 or similar cream. Also can take oral Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for the itch. Also, could it be your sunscreen? Some people have allergic reactions to sunscreens. Try switching brands. Good luck!

Poison ivy?: Cluster of skin lesions could be from poison ivy to herpes simplex, and many different conditions. Poison ivy type of contact allergy should have some history of exposure. If it stays on one area for a long time without spreading, herpes simplex maybe considered.

I have a non itchy rash on my left arm and chest that spread to my neck and back over night. What could it be?

Many causes: If it lasts for less than a couple of weeks, then I won't pay much attention to it. But if it gets painful, it may be from shingles and you need to see your doctor ASAP to get started on an anti-viral drug to reduce potential complications. Suspect shingles if the rash does not extend beyond the mid-line of the body.

Keratosis Pilaris: It sounds like you have a condition called keratosis pilaris. This causes tiny, rough prickly bumps to form on the backs of the arms, the thighs, the buttocks and occasionally on the face. A mild exfoliating skin cream with 12% ammonium lactate used once to twice a day will smooth these areas out nicely. If you have itch, a mild cortisone cream from your doctor can help.

Need more info: Hi, Most itchy bumps are red in color. Are they spreading? Are there red streaks or any swelling? Do the bumps look like they have fluid inside or not? Clarify for us and the answers will come.

Cleaned with bleach, now have small clear very itchy bumps, started between fingers, spread to arms, dexclorfeniramina not working. What can I do?

Contact dermatitis: Sounds like a contact dermatitis reaction to bleach which is a strong irritant. A topical steroid cream will help along with an antihistamine for itching. If it continues or gets worse see a doctor for stronger medicine. Wear gloves when cleaning with bleach and dilute it with water.

Bug bites.: What you are describing could be bug bites of some type due to the nonspecific location. Because of the tropical climate, it could be any number of arthropods. You may want to see a physician for treatment since the number is so high extending over a fairly large body surface area. Additionally, watch for any signs of infection--fevers, night sweats or redness and enlargement of the actual bumps.

Skin Tags: Skin tags are an outgrowth of normal skin and occur in ~25% of adults. Incidence increases with age. Skin tags usually occur in areas where there is increased friction (armpits, neck, groin/inner thigh regions). Treatment with excision of lesions with scissors. Larger lesions may require suturing. Can also try cryosurgery with liquid nitrogen or electrodesiccation.
