This empties into the colon or large intestine (about 5 feet), which then becomes the sigmoid colon, rectum and out the anus. So, every morsel eaten ...Read more

Pro mean with: and bio means life. Probiotics help the GI system digest food. Anti means against. So, if one takes excessive antibiotics (which are sometimes needed) they can kill off the good bacteria in our GI systems and we can have digestive problems. This can happen w/out antibiotics at times too. So, the probiotics replace the good bacteria that are missing or low. Peace and good health. See doctor.
It's been 2 months. Frequent bowel movements accompanied with pre lower abdomen pain and cramps. Stool is watery thin but not like diarrhea.
Visit doctor : What is color of stool? I suggest you visit a doctor.also drink plenty of fluids,as you lose a lot of water from your body in stool, stay hydrated.
Lower abdominal pain when bowel movement is trying to be passed. Those muscles hurt. Constant stomach gurgling. Diarrhea. Tightness in upper abdomen?
If..: If symptoms have been present only for a few days this can be caused by a virus most of the time. In this case drinking plenty of fluids, rest and taking over the counter antidiarrheal meds and analgesics helps with symptoms. If this has been going on for more than a week or so then it is time to get checked. Make an appointment with your doctor if this is the case.
Fever of 99.6 for 7 days, left lower abdomen pain, bloated, occasional bleeding in bowel, diarrhea, food allergies, throwing up clean colonoscopy. Help?
Get 2nd opinion: It almost sounds like diverticulitis which may not be detected by a colonoscopy. On the other hand, throwing up is not part of the symptoms unless you have a systemic infection which does occurs in diverticulitis. The counterpoint is that diverticulitis occurs usually in a much older age Food allergy is not associated with a fever. Suggest a consult @ an university center or with another GI.See 1 more doctor answer

My son continues to get what i think are small abscess on his lower abdomen but this time it is bigger & hurts with diarrhea. Suggestions ?
Abscess: It can be one of the worst bacterial infections called mrsa. Your son needs to be seen by his pediatrician who will definitely do a culture to see what kind of infection it is. He might need antibiotics. Diarrhea can be a co-incidence or may be related to the infection. Start giving him pedialyte 4-6 ounces for each diarrhea..... But consult his pediatrician soon.
Abdominal pain: She likely has a stomach bug and it should pass in about 3 more days but she should be seen be her doctor to make sure nothing more serious is going on.
I am experiencing tender abdomen. The following also describe me: Abdominal pain (all over) and Diarrhea. And have little small red spots in chest that appear randomly. What should I do?
I had diarreah for 3 days. My bowels went from brownish-green, to an orangish-red color. I had severe pains in my intestines/abdomen also.
Fast transit time: of the digested material from the large bowel can make these color changes. Infectious diarrhea, IBD or IBS can be the cause of the problem and needs to be treated accordingly.
Estimate: Within a few minutes as long as no obstruction to outlet of stomach.Large intestin would probably take several hours. In a newborn who is born with airless abdomen it takes usually up to 12 hours for air to get through entire small bowel and 24 hours for entire large bowel.
How long does it take food to get to the stomach. To the small intestine. To the large intestine n back out?
Range: There is a wide range, for example 6 hours to 24 hours for all. Stomach sometimes one hour but could be more or less. Transit time varies a lot.See 4 more doctor answers
