Have it rechecked: See your doctor right away for repeat evaluation of the area. Over the year, things can change so your doctor may want a repeat ultrasound so the radiologist can compare the images. Or, your doctor may also recommend mammogram or other studies, up to possible biopsy of the area. ...Read more

2 weeks ago, I had a redness/pain under my breast nipple that went away with bactroban (mupirocin) within a week. Since then, I've had a hard, small painless lump?

2 weeks ago, I had a redness/pain under my breast nipple that went away with bactroban (mupirocin) within a week. Since then, I've had a hard, small painless lump?

Diagnosis???: Was there a scabby infection ON THE SURFACE [impetigo]? Or was there something deep under the skin? If it was deep the Bactroban (mupirocin) had no role in the evolution of it. Nipple discharge? Probably an inflamed cyst but don't take a chance on something more sinister. Check with your Dr. Consult with a breast specialist may be in order. By the time you go back it might be gone. ...Read more
