Small Hard Lump On Side Of Neck
Is it normal to have a small, hard, oblong lump on side of neck, halfway up, on or near carotid? Pulsates if head turned certain way.
Not nrmal: See your medical doc have it checked out.
Small hard lump on each side of neck. Halfway up next to carotids. Assuming lymph nodes? Just finished antibiotics so shouldn't lymph nodes be normal?
Those may be your...: Carotid bulbs. See if you can feel your pulse.
Had psoriasis for years &very mild on back of scalp. 3 weeks ago I noticed small hard lump one side back of head/neck lymph node. Related? Not tender
Already there?: If it's not growing it could be a scarred lymph node from a previous infection that went unnoticed. To be safe have it checked out.
My 19 mo. Old has small lump on right side of neck, hard but slippery. Healthy, bit of allergies, had a bug bite close to that area a few days ago.
Likely reactive: Lymphadenopathy or a lymph node that is swelling in response to the bite. As long as it remains small, less than an inch and is mobile and starts to resolve with time, it will be fine. If not, let your doctor take a look. All the best.
Had lump in upper left side of neck for 3yrs no symptoms until recently, small short headaches. Can this be a cancer tumor? Size changes, not hard.
I have a small lump on the left side of neck and kind of behind my left ear. Its not an abscess or a pimple. Quite firm like a bone. It hurts at times?
Possibly lymph node?: Have lymph nodes throughout our bodies to protect us. Some are near surface of skin and you can feel. If you've had an ear infection recently or possibly scratched your scalp nearby the node could have started to swell as it pumped out lymphocytes. If it doesn't go down in a few weeks go see your doc.
Small pea sized lump on side of neck. Somewhat movable can move from side to side. Terrified it's cancer! In the spot where lymphnodes are.
Need to examine: Do you have lesions in your scalp, or face? Even bad dandruff or pimples on the face may lead to enlargement of local lymph nodes. If you have no lesions on the scalp and/or face, you can wait to see what happens. It is not likely that you have cancer, but if the node persists for more than two weeks, it would be prudent to consult your doctor.
Have small lump on side of neck. My total protein is 8.7 and albumin is 5.2. My CRP is. 95. Ldh is normal. Should I be concerned about lyphomia.
Unlikely: Lymphoma would cause an inflammatory response in your immune system, and your CRP would be elevated. Ldh, protein, and Albumin tell me your nutritional status is stable. If your lump gets larger, go see your doctor. It may be a lymph node and the only real way to r/o bad things is with a biopsy, but at this point, I would watch and wait.
Neck bite?: I would see a doctor quickly. I worry about tick bites, or perhaps a reaction to another type of insect bite. Feel better.
27f- small lump on side of neck for 2 weeks. Doesn't hurt. Feels like little ball I can move around. Had cold/sore throat when 1st found- better now.
How big?: If the mass is over 1 cm and not getting smaller and nontender I would recommend a full head and neck exam by an ent. If smaller and mobile and not getting bigger, probably nothing to worry about.
Small soft lump on left side of neck. Only can feel it when I bend neck to right. Had it for about 4 years. No pain. Should I be concerned?
Nodes: It's likely you have a slightly enlarged lymph node in your neck. As long as it moves freely underneath the skin and is less than a cm in size, you are probably fine. However, I would suggest that you have your doctor take a look and feel of the area just to make sure.
2 small pea size lumps on right side of neck not painful and been there a lot of months without growing in size! Just curious as to what these could be?
Lymph nodes: Almost everybody has a few. It's just that not everybody discovers them. I'm glad you're a good obvserver of your own body. If they are stable and not fixed to the surrounding structures, they're no cause for concern.
Lymph node: Depending on location this may simply be a reactive lymph node
No: Your description suggests a problem that needs to be evaluated regardless of your age. An ENT would be appropriate.
Small moveable lump on bottom left side of neck, just above my shoulder. Doesn't hurt. So worried : (what could it be? Should I be worried??
It could b a: Lymph node from a prior infection that didn't shrink back down to normal. If u carefully search, U may find a few others. To be safe, show ur doc at next visit. If it grows or changes, or U find multiple lumps, make an appointment. A lot of manipulation may make it tender.
I have internal lump on my left side of neck its painless I can only sense it when I touch it its really small and im 22 years old is it serious
If it's painless: Its likely not serious but have a doctor examine it to be safe
Hard painless lump on right side of neck right next to the trachea. Been there a few months now, feels as it has got bigger. Something to worry about?
Yes: This could be benign, inflammatory, or malignant. Please schedule to see your pcp.
Maybe: The lumps you describe might be enlarged lymph nodes. Knowing what causes their enlargement depends on more history: how long have they been enlarged, have you had a cancer of the head and neck, etc. It could be from an infection, but it might also be cancer, especially if you already have a cancer diagnosis. See your doctor.
1 large swollen lump on right side of neck with multiple small pea size lumps surrounding larger one. No other symptoms.?
Go see ur Family Doc: Not to be an alarmist, but painless lumps are worrisome. Best to go see your Family Doc for a complete evaluation. Is lump fixed in place? Matted down, so to speak? Or freely mobile? Any unexplained weight loss? Fevers, sweats & chills? Interesting (foreign) travel? Many different reasons for lump depending upon your answer. So best recommendation is still to see your Family Doc.
Hard immovable lump in neck...Causing pain in neck and chest. Left lower part of neck, have to push hard to feel it not on other side of neck?
See a doctor: You should see a doctor. This is something that should be checked out asap.
