Why would a person have a cervix biopsy?

Cervical lesion: If a pap smear comes back abnormal, looking at the cervix with a microscope and taking a biopsy of the abnormal area is often done to rule out cancer or precancer, also called dysplasia. The office procedure is called a colposcopy. Some abnormalities can be seen with the naked eye as well. These would also be biopsied and sent to pathology for the same reasons. ...Read more

P4 L4 a1 / perimenopausal dub / fractional currettage with cervix biopsy diagnosed what is the medical remeedi? This for my mother.

Lysteda is a nonhormone medication. Some benefit from birth control pills, patch or nuvaring. Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud can stop periods in some cases. Endometrial ablations are great options for peri menopausal bleeding. Some will just need a hysterectomy. ...Read more

I have large fibroid 5mnth pregnant look like .Gyn took pap smear and cervix biopsy , what was the purpose of the samples taken out of from inside .?

Not related: The pap smear and cervical biopsy would not be related to the fibroid. A pap smear is done to detect precancerous cells on the cervix and prevent cervical cancer. A cervical biopsy is done because the pap smear was abnormal or because the doctor saw an abnormality there during the exam. Fibroids are very common benign uterine tumors. ...Read more

Had a colposcopy, white spot was found on my cervix. A biopsy done. What could possible outcome b. I have HPV & pre cancer cells i want 2 have kids.

Don't worry: The most disturbing thing is that it sounds like your doctor did not explain this very well to you. While i would need more details, if: 1. There was mild dysplasia - pap smears more frequently until the problem goes away 2. There was moderate or severe dysplasia - then you need treatment of the cervix this should not present a barrier to getting pregnant. ...Read more

I have HPV and they found white spots on my cervix. They took a biopsy of certain areas Scarred it might be cancer. What food should I eat for that?

Diet won't help: Most likely this isn't as serious as you fear. Actual cancer is rare at your age (29). If you have pre-cancer cell changes, it will be easily treated and cancer prevented. Even without treatment, it's generally several years from dysplasia to actual cancer. What you eat, however, will make no difference. The important thing is to follow your doctor's advice about treatment and follow-up testing. ...Read more

The biopsy will give a definitive answer. ...Read more
