Be safe: Show it to your family doctor or dermatologist. A mole doesn't need exposure to sunlight to undergo malignant transformation. Better be safe than sorry. Best wishes for good health. ...Read more

It has been 8 days since I had surgery to remove a mole spot from the inner thigh. Can I go out running or will the stitched rip apart? Thank you!
A mole on my inner thigh has developed a bruise around the outside. The bruise is light purple. The mole is slightly raised.
Possible Biopsy: Given your age, the lesion is most likely benign but without seeing it, it is difficult to tell. It could be an unrelated bruise from minor trauma. Therefore I would make an appointment to see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon in three weeks for a biopsy. During your wait, if the bruise resolves and the mole ends up appearing exactly as it did prior to the bruise, you can consider canceling. ...Read more
