Hypothyroid?: Very unlikely ! I strongly recommend you get an appointment to see a Psychologist. She will carefully evaluate your issues and it would not surprise if the Psychologist will work well with you. The only downside concern is the dry hair and skin. Can hypothyroid present as finger numbness and stiffness, with slight decrease in reflexes in one arm? Such as if Synthroid (thyroxine) needs adjust in dose?

Can hypothyroid present as finger numbness and stiffness, with slight decrease in reflexes in one arm?  Such as if Synthroid (thyroxine) needs adjust in dose?

Unusual: Hypothyroidism can present as carpal tunnel syndrome, which can cause numbness in fingers. Reflexes become slowed in hypothyroidism, but should remain symmetric, so it should not occur in just one arm. It is easy to find out if you are on enough synthroid (thyroxine) by getting a free T4 and TSH level done. ...Read more
