Slow Weight Gain (Overview)

Weight should stay at around the same percentiles with increasing age. When it stalls or falls to a lower percentile it is considered slow weight gain and at the extreme can be considered failure to thrive.

Growth curves: Both the weight and length are less than the 1% as measured. It really depends on: was he premature? If so, how early and what were his birth wt and length? If he has demonstrated go growth from birth, then be reassured. However, if he's falling "off" his curves then we need to sort out why. ...Read more
