Depends: It depends on what your dr is concerned about. CT scans do provide significant radiation exposure. Some causes of left upper abdominal pain can e assessed by ultrasound or endoscopy, depending on your other symptoms and risks. Stomach: Kidney, intestinal, muscular problems. It appears you have had your heart checked, but even if you have fluctuations in your blood pressure, the stress on your heart from that may cause it. LUQ abd discomfort: It could be many things. Is it worsened or relieved by eating? Worse with exercise? Exercise induced suggests musculoskeletal, food induced (especially fat) suggests gallbladder problems. You are already on Prilosec that should help with peptic problems.
