Might be normal issu: Random palpitations can be a normal issue if they happen from time to time or if you are taking in stimulants like coffee, alcohol, tobacco or over-the-counter medications such as pseudoephedrine, which is found in cold preparations and some herbal medications, including ma huang. Not likely: For some persons, they may do OK, as there are always outliers but realistically this places you at risk for poor eating habits which could predispose you to malnutrition and there are small studies that suggest it might predispose you to higher blood pressure, impaired blood sugar control and a weaker immune system. Hard to say: Hard to say as i suspect you ate several different things while at the restaurant. The fairly rapid onset could also mean food poisoning. And you might have just coincidentally been going to come down with something. I'm not sure i'd avoid avocado, although depending on the restaurant, you might not want to eat there again for awhile. ...Read more

How come I am more hungry mid-morning after eating breakfast rather then mid-morning when I don't eat breakfast? It makes no sense to me

Sugar dropping: If your breakfast is high in carbs and doesn't contain any protein or fat, your sugar level goes up, your body responds by releasing Insulin and then your sugar drops. It's all gone in 2-3 hours. Make sure you have protein and some fat in your breakfast too. Those calories take longer to be digested and enter the blood after the carbohydrates, helps you got 4-5 hours between meals. ...Read more
