Sitting with leg bent for 30 min and leg fell asleep. 37 weeks pregnant. Does that have anything to do with circulation to the baby?

Sitting with leg bent for 30 min and leg fell asleep. 37 weeks pregnant. Does that have anything to do with circulation to the baby?

Rest easy: By sitting on your leg you were compressing the nerves in your leg causing it to go to sleep. In no way does it have to do with the baby's circulation.

I fell asleep on cell phone while pregnant, will this cause problems?

I fell asleep on cell phone while pregnant, will this cause problems?

No: Cell phone radiation isn't the kind that causes tumors. All the good studies show no effect, and in the big one, there were more tumors on the opposite side. The united nations has to appease militants, so the world health organization hasn't declared the matter settled. Congratulations on your pregnancy and best wishes.

Please consult ASAP: With your cardiologist, he will need to follow you throughout the pregnancy and can give you his opinion, the cardiologist will need to work closely with your OB and a perinatologist and you may be better served delivering at a university medical center, for example, if you were in my area would refer u to the univ of miaim.

Half Asleep Startle: When we are half asleep, we are more likely to startle. Drs call it a "hypnogogic state." that may happen more easily if we have some discomfort that awakes us. In pregnancy you are likely to have such discomfort. Tell your OB dr in case there are important details not mentioned in this short communication.

Insomnia: Insomnia is a common complaint in pregnancy. Here are some tips: Avoid caffeine especially in the afternoon. Increase your daily exercise to help increase tiredness. Walk, walk, walk. Avoid all napping. Wake up extra early. Avoid sleeping late to "catch up." Read a book at night. Avoid evening electronics such as the iPad.

I'm 13 weeks pregnant. I fell asleep on my iPhone last night and now my back is a little red. Should I be worried? Don't know how it happened! FTM.

I'm 13 weeks pregnant. I fell asleep on my iPhone last night and now my back is a little red. Should I be worried? Don't know how it happened! FTM.

Low level radiation: The redness is likely due to the very low levels of radiation that the cellphone signal emitted that was trapped against your back. It should not affect your pregnancy, but cell phones should be placed on a nightstand at night and not a pillow or gown pocket. If the redness continues past 24 hours notify your treating OB MD.

Can I be pregnant if I was taking the pill, missed a few days. Had sex and he came inside me and then I fell asleep. I did take the pill that morning?

Can I be pregnant if I was taking the pill, missed a few days. Had sex and he came inside me and then I fell asleep. I did take the pill that morning?

Always a chance...: A urine pregnancy test done correctly will give a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (or when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and therefore lead to a repeat test. If a woman has her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and the test is not needed yet.

Delayed sleep: You seem to be sleeping enough, but at the wrong time. You need to restrict your sleep, so you can sleep at night. Try not to sleep after 12 noon, use any tool you can to stay awake, then try to sleep closer to midnight. It is very hard to sleep after 2 am. If you snore, you need to be checked for sleep apnea.

Close followup: Headache during pregnancy can mean a subtile or significant increase in your blood preasure. This can bring along changes in your kidney function and make you at risk of seizures or stroke.Call your OB and see if this is a simple issue or one requiring special monitoring & meds.

Right hand is constantly asleep. It hardly ever stops been going on for a month. It's not from the position. I'm 5 months pregnant.

Right hand is constantly asleep. It hardly ever stops been going on for a month. It's not from the position. I'm 5 months pregnant.

Dr J's correct: You're probably right handed. It is common, try and keep your hand elevated, Tylenol (acetaminophen) is ok to take (doesn't help much...), splints work best if you can keep from laying on your hand or leaving it in a dependent position (don't let your arm hang). It's a form of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in pregnancy, worsened by routine swelling in pregnancy. Avoid salt, keep hydrated, elevate the arm, & splint. GL.
