Sleeping Bowels After Surgery
While recovering after a knee surgery, sleeping off anesthesia, I woke up to a nurse helping me dress, I realized that I had made a bowel movement! Help!

I'm on 45mg of methadone a day. I suffer from Chron's disease had surgery 20 years ago. The methadone work wonders for my loose bowels and pain. Dose anything enhance the length or strength of methadone like grapefruit.
Methadone: Methadone has one of the longest half lives of any anesthetic drug. .. But if you're not seeing an adequate effect any longer, talk to your doctor about adjusting the dose. Please be sure to have your thyroid hormone levels checked again. Maybe they are off and affecting your sleep. Otherwise, I can't explain any other reason for the surgery to affect your sleep this far out afterwards.
