How can I make my 2 months old sleep deep? I guess his hearing is very good that's why even a little noise can wake him up, how can I help him?

Ignoring: Remember that we all have a normal amount of "partial awakenings" that we go through during the phases of sleep. We almost wake up, you and I recognize we are in our bed, with our pillow, and roll over and go back to sleep. Babies have these also. What can I take over the counter that will help me sleep deeper that will mix good with benadryl (diphenhydramine)? I'm being constantly woken up by trains, snow plows,

No good OTCs: 55 yo female with difficulty sleeping due to loud noise and wants to know what to mix with benadryl (diphenhydramine). First of all, benadryl (diphenhydramine) is not a good medicine to rely on for sleep. The effects only last a few hours, might help you fall asleep but won't keep you asleep. There are no OTC meds I would recommend for sleep. You should try ear plugs for noise. Please see your primary care physician for further recs ...Read more

It used to be so hard to wake up but now I wake up really easily. Does this mean I'm not getting into deep sleep so that's why it's easier to wake up?

Morning lark: It is not unusual for people to wake up when sunlight enters their eyes. Getting up early does not necessarily mean that you are losing deep sleep. The latter part of your night is spent largely in rem sleep. True deep sleep would be considered stage n3 sleep. This is a combination of what used to be called stage iii and four sleep. I don't believe that there is any significant correlation between getting up early and losing deep sleep which can occur even earlier in the night. As long as you're not feeling sleepy during the day there should be no problembest wishes and try to get somewhere between six and eight hours of sleep per night. If you find that you are having difficulty then please consult with a sleep disorder specialist. ...Read more
