Home sleep study said moderate sleep apnea w/severe oxygen saturation <70 & in-clinic study said no sleep apnea & perfect oxygen levels. Which right?
My reaction: Advise you to sit down with your doctor and go over both studies in full detail, as one of these is clearly WRONG. What could cause erratic HR during sleep study? Fast, w/spikes over 190. Study found poor deep/REM sleep due to moderate OSA. AHI 21; hypopneas only.
Always tired. Fitbit tracker says low sleep efficiency. Videotape confirmed constant tossing during sleep. Should I do a sleep study? Recommended tx?

Initial study and CP: A sleep study is initially done to see if the patient has sleep apnea. If the patient has obstructive sleep apnea the patient is advised to have a study with CPAP to assess the best pressure to treat it with. Have slight sleep apnea--use 1.25 klonopin (clonazepam) for sleep also use s pap machine....is this safe?
Have ob apnea, use cpap nightly. Fatigue persists! could not nap for mslt. Rem sleep from 6-7am in overnight study. Rem interruption in am = fatigue?
? diet: I know this may sound strange but I have treated many cases of sleep apnea with a mixture of thiamine (vitamin b1), magnesium and a well rounded multivitamin. See a nutritionist for doses. Apnea hypopnea index is 23 on bipap machine. I have mostly central brain apneas.I aalso have obstructive apnea and hypopnea?
Would red-tinted glasses increase sleepiness? Hypersomnia despite regular cpap use. Mslt normal. :(
I hear you!: Your treated for osa with cpap, subjectively you feel sleepy? In the sleep lab your mean sleep latency test is nml and so objectively, on that day, you did not test as excessively sleepy (and would not have narcolepsy). What is your epworth score (search ess)? >40% are still too sleepy after CPAP regardless of light exposure (red or blue). If you are sleepy and not depressed/fatigue..
