Ths is extremely common just after puberty, and before menopause. However, sometimes this can be due to thyroid problems or things like pcos. Yes: Looking at a calendar, it would be impossible for a woman to have her periods come on the same day each month UNLESS she had 31-day cycles for Jan Mar May Jul Aug Oct Dec, and 30-day cycles for Apr Jun Sep Nov, and then a 28-day cycle for Feb (29-days if a leap year). Sure you might?: Sure you may have an STD or AIDS if you have unprotected sex. However this would not cause a change in your periods per se. Your large weight gain is more likely responsible for irregular periods. Get tested! I'm not sure what your weight was to start with, but get back into normal range and your periods may get back to normal. ...Read more
