I'm 18 years old male, and I'm very very scared that I have colon cancer. I got some symptoms, but no blood. Thin stools, 1st time dark green stool today. Really scared.

So rare: You are more likely to get hit by a bus today than have colon cancer at your age. I'm not sure what symptoms other than "no blood" you refer to, as most colon cancers have no symptoms. If you are having abdominal pains, fullness, nausea, etc - then you should see doctor as there are literally hundreds of conditions other than cancer that could cause symptoms in abdomen. ...Read more

What to do if I am 18, ive been told if u have thin stools, its sign of colon cancer. Should I worry.?

What to do if I am 18, ive been told if u have thin stools, its sign of colon cancer. Should I worry.?

Should be checked: Thin stools can be a sign of rectal, not colon cancer. "Pencil" stools are caused by the cancer in the distal rectum or anus causing a severe narrowing which allows only a thin stool to pass. If the thin stools continue, you should see you're PCP and may need a colonoscopy. ...Read more

Would mucus in stool that comes and goes for a bit every few months be a symptom of colon cancer? No other symptoms. No blood that can see.

Would mucus in stool that comes and goes for a bit every few months be a symptom of colon cancer? No other symptoms. No blood that can see.

Unlikely: Mucus is not suggestive of cancer. Unless you have family history of early onset colon cancer, you may wait till you are 50-years old to get a screening colonoscopy.
If you are concerned you may do FIT testing to test for occult blood in stool. If that is positive, you should see a doctor.
Wish you good health.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. ...Read more

At what point do I need to worry about colon cancer? I've had pencil thin stool for a week now and can't completely empty my bowels.

Unlikely at your age: It would be very unlikely for someone of your age to have colon cancer, unless there's a strong family history that would suggest a genetic predisposition for such. However, with these pencil-thin stools, you may have an infection or inflammation within the colon which needs identification and treatment. A CT scan and colonoscopy would be in order to investigate this. ...Read more

Black little dots in stool. Would colon cancer stools be thin one day then be normal the next? I did have blood in stools for two days only last week

Not sure: I am assuming that you do not have a significant family history for colon cancer. Colon cancer can result in thin stools but I would think that they stay that way. Blood in the stool can indicate possible colon tumor (polyp) or cancer but it not very common for patients your age. I would reccomend that you see a dr. To find out the cause of your bleeding. Internal hemorrhiods could be a cause. ...Read more

Needs colonoscopy: Even if he had no problems we are supposed to start routine colorectal cancer screening at age 50. The best care practice to do so remains colonoscopy although there are many other tests that are also done such as checking stool for blood, barium enema, sigmoidoscopy to name a few. If he has already had one it depends when. If it was more than 1-2 years ago it can be repeated if symptoms arise ...Read more
