Skineal Compound Ketoconazole Cream
Not dangerous: It won't hurt you; the only question is whether it will help. No harm in trying if you're trying to save money.
See doctor: It may not be "jock itch". it is not feasible to say what it may be, without examining you. Given the lack of response to a medication that should have taken care of a jock itch, it is time to see a doctor.
I have been treating my jock itch with ketoconazole cream (2%) twice a day for one week with little effect. Why have I not improved much?
Tolnaftate: Try this instead. If there are satellite lesions, get a good anti-candidal cream.
Ketoconazole: It's best to check with your OB/GYN. Although ketoconazole is Pregnancy Class B - there are some uncertainties regarding fetal toxicity and the way the mother's body metabolizes the medication. Topical medications have been used in pregnancy, usually because of limited absorption. However I would first check with your OB/GYN. You don't want to risk it.
Yes but why?: It is safe on the scalp but the scalp is an unusual site for yeast infection
Shifting clouds?: Not sure what you mean by "shifting clouds". Please resubmit question. In general, it is not advisable to use expired medication.
Part of my skin is gone & I'm still curing it with ketoconazole cream for many months it hasn't gone away I'm tired?
Questionable: If you have been treating your skin area that long it needs to be evaluated and changes made. Not sure what you mean by asking gone as if it is truly gone you need to see the provider about this. Have you seen a Dr. If not you really need to see your provider about this to see if can decide on a better treatment. Hope this helped.
Sometimes: Desonide is a steroid and can attenuate allergic and inflammatory conditions of the facial skin. Keto conazole is an anti-fungal and can be used for diagnosed treatment of facial fungus infections. Your dermatologist can assist you in diagnosis of your facial issues and recommend the best treatment.
Can, but not helpful: Folliculitis is a result of bacterial overgrowth/infections of your hair follicles...Typically just annoying rather than dangerous. It is basically a small zit. So, topical or oral acne medications can help. Ketoconazole is an antifungal cream (good for ringworms, jock-itch, athlete foot etc.) and will not do anything to the bacteria above. It won't do you harm, but won't do any good. Good luck.
Sir I used ketoconazole cream on my own. Itching reduced but skin tearing is still there. I want to send u pic of lesion. How can I do that Sir.?
Treat a fungal rash: Ketoconazole cream should help with a rash that is caused by fungus, such as athlete's foot, jock itch or ringworm. If the rash isn't caused by fungus, it won't work -so I think you need to send a pic to a doctor here on Health Tap or a doctor in person. Fungus will attack under certain circumstances -like moisture, uncontrolled blood sugars (poor diet), other weaknesses etc, so try to fix those.
Pls help! Been on Nizoral (ketoconazole) cream 2percnt for 1 n half weeks now for recurring balanitis. So far little improvment. Will it get better? Its depressing
Here are...: = irritating / itchy rashes on glans penis in those having long foreskin usually with poor hygiene; = may be acute or chronically recurring; = key rx is gentle cleaning ; drying the foreskin regularly, especially after each peeing plus timely ; thinly applying antifungal/steroid cream; definite rx is circumcision + good hygiene.See 1 more doctor answer
Pimples: Nizoral (ketoconazole) cream is a treatment for yeast and fungus. It will not treat acne pimples because acne is due to a combination of bacteria, sebum, cornification, hormones. It could make acne worse by blocking up the openings of the pores. You can get effective acne therapy from your doctor.See 1 more doctor answer
