How much pain should I expect from a skin sparing mastectomy?

Mastectomy pain: Mastectomy is a relatively painful procedure related to the extent of the dissection. It is still controversial among experts, as there aren't long-term studies showing it's as safe as a simple mastectomy. Talk to your breast surgeon and your oncologist at length before deciding. ...Read more

Can CT and pet scan performed 2 weeks after skin and nipple sparing mastectomy with inplant also include chemotherapy ?

PET scan...: Pet / ct scan can be performed at any time but it is extremely important for the physician interpreting the scan to know if you are having or have had chemotherapy or radiation therapy and exactly when. Also, it is important to know exactly when surgery was performed since recent surgery can cause false positive FDG uptake. Usually it is good to wait at least 4 weeks after chemotherapy. ...Read more
