Many possibilities: This can be due to eczema or atopic dermatitis, or pityriasis rosea, psoriasis, tinea versicolor, or other skin conditions. You can try otc topical steroids (cortisone cream) or antihistamines to see if they help. Then see your doctor or dermatologist for diagnosis and proper treatment. ...Read more
Buttock rash and thigh rash. Its itchy especially at night. Originally I thought it was scabies but it is only on the two areas. Also have eczema.
Need to see rash: Without visualization, it is nearly impossible to diagnose a rash. Given the locations you are describing, scabies does not seem to be the most likely answer. Two discrete patches that itch on someone with eczema sounds like an eczema flare, but see your physician for a formal diagnosis and treatment plan. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Got itchy red bumps only in the areas I applied Johnsons baby oil. Taking allegra 180mg in the day & Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 25mg at night. When will rash go away?

Unfortunately, that specific baby oil contains an ingredient that metabolizes into formaldehyde, a toxic chemical that can trigger reactions like yours. The Allegra (fexofenadine) will help, but topical Hydrocortisone found over-the-counter will likely help even more. I'd apply it twice daily. ...Read more
