Tough question: You don't say why so many surgeries but the symptoms don't seem related to collapsed diaphragm. Disc maybe. Possibly disc with your doctor the need for MRI to evaluate all these symptoms ...Read more

Potentially: You can expect swelling after an extensive septal surgery; sutures that were placed can accentuate it somewhat, but the majority is likely related to the surgery itself.

Yes for the pain: Nerve damage from a radiculopathy can cause numbness, pins and needles, weakness, and pain.
Unfortunately there is little that can be done for the numbness but the pain is readily treatable.

I suggest both star-: Ting with Epidurals, to confirm which level disc issue provides best relief from your symptoms. Is it one or more levels.
I am sure, your surgeon will be getting you to habe a series of these shots before the surgery that you certainly need.

Not really: Exersises after ctr surgery (early on) may cause more swelling and possibly more numbness. You want to move your fingers but the numbness will get better w/ time. 3 days out: Is early into the recovery period for this trigger finger surgery. I would certainly think some swelling and numbness would not be unexpected... probably for a couple more weeks. This may not be rel-: -ated 2 your back surgery but may be coccyx in origin. Your "tail bone" needs to be evaluated. You can start with your PCP an X ray and a rectal exam will or could give you your answer. Symptoms are pain with bowel movements, sitting on hard surfaces, & even soft if for a long time. numbness near any incision is not unusual and also diminishes over time as new nerves insinuate into the area-that is a bother but not a danger sign.
