What is the life span of pantoea on the skin? My dermatologist swabbed my cystic acne and this bacteria was the result. Did it cause the acne?
Uncertain: Pantoea(Enterobacter) agglomerans is a gram negative bacteria which is is found on plants, in soil and feces and occasionally causes human infection. Of the 1000 species of bacteria that can be found on skin, Pantoea is much less commonly found than several other bacteria. I couldn't find reference to it causing acne but it's possible. No known cure: for ichthyosis, so the goal of treatment is to manage the condition & includes prescription creams and ointments that contain acids that help control scaling and increase skin moisture. The following skin care tips may help: Apply lotions and creams to wet skin to trap in the moisture (within 3 minutes of showering/bathing) Rub gently a pumice stone on wet skin to help remove thickened crusty skin. During annual skin exam should dermatologist check genitals and between butt cheeks? Wife and I yet to find one that does.
Very thorough: A very thorough skin exam would include the skin of the genitalia/perineum. However, this is uncommon because most dermatologists focus on skin that is frequently exposed to the sun (major risk factor for most skin cancers). The skin around the genitalia and anus is generally examined during an annual wellness check up with your primary doctor during a rectal, testicular, or pelvic exam. ...Read more
Ocasional bleeding rectum it drips after toilet.doctor said warts/dermatologist skin tag and surgeon did nothing.I think its internal piles what to do?
See another doc: The most common causes are hemorrhoids or an anal fissure. If there is extreme pain with bowel movements (like sharp glass cutting you) it's likely a fissure. If not, it's more likely hemorrhoids. You are young, so a rectal/colon cancer is less likely, but you need to have an exam to definitively determine this. Start with your family doctor. If no answers, ask for a referral to colorectal. ...Read more
