Aspiration is when food or bacteria from the mouth gets into the airway and lungs. This can result in inflammation, and about 25% of the time a true infection will develop. Rash?: Is there anaccompaning rash? Isolated itching can be from the outside dry skin, cold, exercise or an irritation. From the inside due to medications, renal, or liver issues.
