Hi, im 5 weeks pregnant today, well when lying in bed and turning on side my uterus hurts...Is that possible? And what it causes? And is normal?!or not?

5 weeks: At 5 weeks, having pelvic pain can be a sign of an ectopic(tubal) pregnancy. However if it only occurred while turning over it is more likely to be from stretching on the round ligament. I’m 5 weeks pregnant, and i was told that there’s a small hemoragging in the uterus, but i’m not bleeding. Is this a big deal? Will i miscarry?

Probably not: I assume you were told this by your obstetrician? If they had found anything serious, they would have told you. Many women have spotting in early pregnancy, and have healthy babies after nine months. Miscarriages happen, but you have a very low chance of having one. If you see actual bleeding, you must report it to your doctor asap! ...Read more

I am having alittle bleeding, I am 5 weeks pregnant and the doctor said I have a bloodclot in my uterus. What's wrong?

You need ultrasound: Tho it is very early, you will need an ultrasound within the next few wks to determine the source of the bleeding. Up to 25% of pregnant patients may have some spotting within the first 12 wks of pregnancy and continue on with a healthy pregnancy. But the bleeding should be evaluated. You should be able to see the baby's heart beat by 7 wks after the 1st day of the last period. Good luck ! ...Read more

I'm nearly 5 weeks pregnant, I got my quantitative blood test back today all normal my hgc level is 1,078 would this mean a healthy uterus pregnancy?

Recheck: your doctor will be unlikely to be able to detect a intrauterine pregnancy at a hCG level less than 1500. you should plan to get another lab draw and ultrasound in 48 hours, with the expectation that your HCG level will double. During this time we can't be sure of where your pregnancy is and so if you have severe pain or bleeding, please see a doctor immediately. Best of luck. ...Read more

Likely, yes: In most cases, retained products of conception and/or blood clot left behind from a miscarriage will pass on their own. In some cases, patients may require a procedure called dilation and curettage, which can be done in the office or in a hospital. It is important to follow up with your ob-gyn to avoid complications of retained products of conception such as infection. ...Read more
