I have ear pressure bcz hyperpneumatised both frontal and maxillary sinuses.Mucosal polyp in both maxillary sinus, nasal septum deviation.Surgery need?

Sinusitis : Surgery is sometimes needed... See a rhinologist (an ENT sub-specialist) to sort out your options. In my practice around 15% of patients with your symptoms ultimately require surgery. Allergy , gerd , aspirin, sub-optimal medical treatment can all be to blame. If significant issues are not treated polyps can rapidly recur. Can sinus pressure be the cause of my vocal nasality?

Can sinus pressure be the cause of my vocal nasality?

Hyponasal speech...: can be due to nasal and sinus congestion. Swelling inside the nose due to the common cold or allergies or even a sinus infection can lead to less air flow through the nose resulting in a nasal voice (hyponasal) as if you're speaking while holding your nose shut. Sinus pressure can also be due some of the above causes, so yes you may have both symptoms as a result of nasal congestion. ...Read more

Does maxillary sinusitis cause vertigo? Is vertigo ever caused by sinusitis of the maxillary sinuses?

Maybe: A bad sinus infection can inflammation of the upper airway which includes the eustachian tube. This will lead to inadequate opening of the eustachian tube which then cause negative pressure in the middle ear space, which can affect the inner ear and balance center, ultimately causing vertigo. Although this can happen, this is not a common presentation of sinusitis. An ENT evaluation will help. ...Read more

Can chest congestion cause minor inflammation in the lungs because of post nasal drip?

Can chest congestion cause minor inflammation in the lungs because of post nasal drip?

Not likely.: Post nasal drip likely comes from the back of your nose and drips down and is usually coughed out or swallowed down your esophagus. If you get a chest cold, the inflammation comes first and then congestion from mucus production. This is then coughed out or blown out if in your nose. The post nasal drip usually comes after most of your congestion is coughed out or blown out. ...Read more

Mucoperiosteal thickening of septum and turbinates producing near occlusion of nasal cavity CT reading. ..What does this mean?

Depends: Depends on the severity. Thickening of the septum lining and turbinate hypertrophy may be seen commonly in any condition that causes 'rhinitis' such as allergies or infection.
