Probably not: Sinus infections can not directly cause body aches. Upper respiratory allergy does not usually cause muscle aches and neck pain. A viral infection of the upper respiratory tract can produce all these symptoms. If so, be patient, drink a lot of fluids and your immune system should kick in. My thoughts are that you have developed allergies and now they are creating inflammation and swelling in the narrow areas that sinuses open into your nose. The lining within the nose continues right into the sinuses. You may be exposed to allergy triggers and not even know which ones they are. Get allergy tested. Be more specific: What do you mean by sinusitis symptoms? If you meant a headache then it may not necessarily be from sinus problem. Just this morning I saw a patient who complained of having sinus infections about 9x/year. On further questioning, what she described was actually migraines and not sinus infections. ...Read more

Sinus infection: It is common to get sinus infections if one has allergies that are not controlled. There are other causes of sinus infections as well.
