Sinus pressure, runny and stuffy nose. Using simply saline. I feel lightheaded and faint at times. Should I see my dr?
Yes: Yes you should. If you are having s flue or a cold or even asker give reaction. You need hydration to fight it. Most of us are well behind in our hydration in normal circumstances. When we get sick we feel it. Hydrate yourself well by drinking combination of water, Gatorade, and juices 6-8 bottles a day in winter.8-10 in summer. Try to build on your hydration and see how you feel
Sinus pressure: Strange as it may sound I think you would get best advice from your local pharmacy - they are really well trained and will look after you. Go today if possible.
Evaluation: You should see your doctor to be evaluated to find the cause so be treated.
No: You can have sinus pressure without having a stuffy nose. The sinuses are nothing more than air spaces with in the bones of some of your skull. They could be filled with fluid or infected without the congestion of the nasal passage ways which would cause them to feel excessive pressure and possibly pain.
Been having a migraine for almost a week, neck still tight to turn and forehead still throbbing, sinus pressure and stuffy runny nose?
Sinusitis: Sounds like you may have a sinus infection. Try taking over-the-counter preparations with decongestants (if you have no heart conditions that contraindicate), and plenty of steamy heat. Nasal saline lavage (e.g. Salt aire, netipot) can also help clear sinus pressure and act as a natural antibiotic. Nsaids can also help to control inflammation. See your doctor if the green mucus persists.See 1 more doctor answer
I've have a runny, stuffy nose, itchy eyes, ear fulness, sinus pressure & mucus that ranges from white, to light yellow & tired. What's going on? Remedies?
Allergies: The symptoms described are most consistent with an allergy. Based on the info provided it is hard to say what to. Best remedy is to avoid whatever it is that you are allergic to. Outside of that nasal irrigation with a Neti pot or other device is helpful as are antihistamine medications like diphenhydramine, loratadine, and cetirizine.
Just over stomach bug, now pain in dent behind ear, sounds like seashell held up to it, stuffy nose, sinus pressure, hot/cold. Stomach bug still, more?
Sinus: It could be sinus or viral infection if persistent see the M.D.
Bad cold, started w/ sore throat, stuffy nose, sinus pressure. Now slight shortness of breath along w sinus pressure. I take BP meds, what can I take?
Nasal irrigation.: Sounds like you have a bad virus! start with a neti pot or nasal saline irrigation. It sounds weird but works great to clear up the nasal congestion. It's all natural and won't affect the blood pressure! you can also add in some Ibuprofen for the sinus pressure. Give it 5-7 days and if still no improvement, see your doc. Most of the time antibiotics don't work for sinus infections.
Sick for week now pretty much the same feverish sinus pressure pain feels like face is pounding VERY stuffy nose and cough very lethargic sore throat?
Viruses stink: Most sinus infections in children and adults are viral pathogens. It's not uncommon for symptoms to last 4-5+ weeks. I'd talk to your doctor about ways to decrease some of the symptoms. Can be as easy as DayQuil or if appropriate, I will prescribe a cough syrup (eg Tussionex) with an intranasal steroid (eg, Nasonex) and/or Chloraseptic Max Cough drops (they have 2 numbing agents in them). G'luck!
Hard to breathe, stuffy nose sinus pressure, pain, sore throat swollen glands, black&gray specs in mucus a throat swab done it was negative idont smoke?
Virus: This has all the characteristics of a viral upper respiratory tract infection which usually runs its course in a week or so and doesn't require antibiotics unless symptoms persist over 7 to 10 days or worsen instead of showing gradual improvement. Treatment consists of gargling with warm salt water, TYLENOL, decongestant tablets or nasal spray if you can use them. Inhaling steam drains the sinuses.
I have a runny and stuffy nose at the same time. Other symptoms, sinus pressure and headache. I just had a cold last month, could it be another cold?
R/O SINUSITIS: Yes you should rest irrigate sinuses with saline/take a nasal spray like Nasonex (mometasone) and finish a 2-3week course of antibiotics ie bactrim/augmentin /cipro. And avoid abrupt changes in pressure. Ie flying/scuba/swimming if diving or snorkeling is undertaken. These activities may increase risk of worsening sinusitis and potentially rupturing ear drum. If SX persist get CT SCAN OF SINUSES TO R/O polyp
I have re accruing sinus problems. Stuffy nose, sinus headache, sinus pressure above my right eye. I had this problem last summer. What can I do?
See an allergist: Three types of treatment: 1. Avoid what you are exposed to. You need to get skin tested to identify what to avoid. 2. Medicines usually help if it is an allergy. 3. Allergy shots would be an option if meds fail.
Can you have chronic sinusitis without a stuffy nose? I have a lot of sinus pressure, runny nose, headache, post nasal drip, NO CONGESTION.
Yes: Sure that doesn't doing completely unreasonable- you could have maxillary or frontal sinusitis and this may not necessarily affect your nasal passage or make you stuffy. Hope that helps.
Can sinus pressure indicate dental infection? No pain in teeth or gums, but also no stuffy nose. Endo said no, but not convinced. History of infection
ENT evaluation: Did you see an ENT? Were the sinus cavities evaluated with diagnostic tools, such as radiographs? Contact ENT for a complete evaluation if the dental outcome is negative. Due to the close proximity of maxillary roots, many times sinus problems are really dental.See 3 more doctor answers
I have presented with headache sore/dry throat, sinus pressure, and a stuffy or sometimes runny nose. What can I take?
Sinusitis: Most likely a flu-like viral infection or bacterial sinusitis. Usually self-limited with hydration, rest and OTC symptom relief. If symptoms persist or worsen along with fever or evidence of bacterial infection with yellow or green mucous or phlegm, see your doctor for antibiotics.See 1 more doctor answer

I have sinus pressure, stuffed nose, headache, been having this for about a week, taken antihistamines, pseudophedrine, nasal spray, none works?
Poss infection: While these symptoms could be allergy, the fact that you have not had relief with medications suggests that it is time to see the doctor. These symptoms could also indicate a sinus infection. An allergist can help sort this out and determine what you are allergic to and help determine a treatment plan for better relief.
