Sometimes it tasts like a sewer in my mouth, do I have a sinus infection I do smoke

Hello.: Hello. I don't know the reason that your mouth tastes so bad. Tobacco products contain toxins that can prevent the cilia (little hairs that whip out impurities) from moving. This can cause impurities to stagnate in your sinuses and nose. If you have a drip coming down the back of your throat or mucus of varying colors coming out of your nose, especially if you feel congested or have pressure over sinuses, you might have a sinus infection or sinus congestion. The maxillary sinuses are often impacted (they are situated below the eyes on the front of the cheeks, on either side of the nose). Smoking can be the source of many unpleasant bodily problems. ...Read more

Can a sinus infection cause bump on roof of mouth?

Can a sinus infection cause bump on roof of mouth?

Not likely: The sinus is an open space and when infected should not show any signs of swelling within your mouth. The upper molar teeth all have one root that extends onto your palate (roof of your mouth). If one of these teeth has an advanced abscess, swelling can result. Coincidentally, this same abscess can expand and involve the sinus, so there can be a link but it starts with the tooth. ...Read more

Very likely: The combination of antibiotics and steroids commonly leads to oral yeast infections. I seem to have sinus infection. Waking up every 20 min or so gasping for air. Horrible sleep. Feels like back of mouth/throat collapses. Sleep apnea?
