There may be underlying issues, e.g., a deviated septum, or immune deficiency that would require an evaluation. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Effusion vs infectio: I suspect you have a middle ear effusion and not an infection. When you have an infection, there is usually pain, sometimes fever and you feel much worse. If you are just experiencing "noise" in your ear, having difficulty with hearing, then this is more likely a fluid buildup in that middle ear space.
