This sounds like something much more than a typical sinus infection. Sounds like you need to see a doctor and possibly get a CT scan of the facial bones and/or sinus

Bleeding for a week is never a good thing. You may have a sinus infection but a presenting symptom of that isn't typically bleeding. I'd suggest a visit to your primary healthcare provider for an evaluation and recommendations for follow-up

Your sinuses may be draining, or you may be getting another infection. You can try saline nasal spray, and a humidifer or even a steam room to clear this up. There are also "Netti pots", which you can ask your pharmacist about that can help drain your sinuses. If a patient has persistent sinus pain, fever, or vomiting, then they should consult with their physician.

Or you may be getting over a cold. As a cold improves the nasal secretions get thicker and a little yellow. If you are coughing up thick brown sputum with a deep cough I would be more concerned about a bacterial pneumonia or possibly bronchitis. Most bronchitis is viral and happens as the last part of a cold .If not improving see your doctor

Anything that irritates your nasal membranes or causes excess dryness can cause nosebleeds. Colds, sinus infections, allergies, cold dry air, nasal polyps, and sniffing or inhaling irritating substances into the nose can all cause nose bleeds. Very high blood pressure can also cause nosebleeds. So can a low platelet count or other blood clotting problem.

Yes

With a sinonasal infection, the mucous membrane of the nose and sinuses is inflamed. It is extremely common to have bloody discharge or even some heavier nosebleeds. Treat the sinus infection as directed by your doctor, but don't forget increased oral fluids and nasal saline irrigations to flush out the nose and sinuses.

Rhino=sinusitis does

Nose bleeds by themselves do not necessarily affect asthma. Nose bleeds may also be the result of hypertension. However, nasal allergy and sinusitis have a significant effect on the severity of asthma. You are on no nasal medication. See an allergist and/or ear nose and throat specialist ASAP. In the meantime use nasal saline spray and a lubricant such as Rhinaris, Nasogel, or Ocean gel.
