Started with sinus infection now have respiratory infection and body aches from head to legs. Flu or pneumonia ?
Maybe It's Flumonia: Good question. And could be both. But if, as you say, it started just in the sinuses and then spread, it's less likely classic flu. And if it spread somehow into your lungs and caused an infection then you'd probably feel pretty bad, so I'd suggest you get examined by a doctor, who will decide what, if any, test(s) he'd decide to get. Could be either, or?: You are correct in presuming that typically swollen lymph nodes are due to an infection nearby. Bacterial infections may be more likely to cause this than viral, but both can do it. Laryngeal/throat infection more likely to cause than higher up sinuses. Watch these glands. Sinus: Yes sounds like you may have an infection. When you have the symptoms you describe for 3-4 weeks , this is probably a real sinus infection as aposed to what most people think when they have it for 2-3 days. Probably not: Sinus infections can not directly cause body aches. Upper respiratory allergy does not usually cause muscle aches and neck pain. A viral infection of the upper respiratory tract can produce all these symptoms. If so, be patient, drink a lot of fluids and your immune system should kick in.
