By looking: Ear pain may just indicate fluid in the ear. If you have fever that may suggest you have ear infection. Motrin (if you are not allergic) would help with ear ache. But the only way to know is to have a doctor take a look at your ear drums.

Well or Worse: After this length of time, you are probably either better, have seen a doctor, well, or worse. The only thing I would be able to offer you at this time if you are still ill is that of an antibiotic for ear and sinus infection. If you wish to do one of the Virtual Consults: healthtap. Having what feels like sinus headache. Can breath through nose just fine. Drainageclear, sinus rinse is clear. Sinusi nfection meningitis? I'm worried

No fever?: Probable viral URI. I suggest the following: Force fluids x 8-10 glasses/day: 50% electrolyte rich fluids, 50% clear broth, bullion, consume. Warm water gargles, nasal saline mist, hot tea and honey, Hot steam showers, Cold-Eze Lozenges, Tylenol 1-2 TABLETS every 4-6 hours as needed for fever greater than 100. Tea with dark brown honey OK to use Robitussin DM 1-2 tsp. Every 4-6 hrs. As needed.

Could be: Or you can have some true allergic inflammation that is not controlled, and would stay even after the surgery, please recheck with the surgeons and also seek an allergist / Immunologist opinion, check aaaai. Org or acaai. Org for an allergist in your area, good luck

Having massive headaches and sinus pain. Had a bad cold about a week ago did it turn into sinus infection?

Having massive headaches and sinus pain. Had a bad cold about a week ago did it turn into sinus infection?

Actually....: The symptoms are not a great indicator of sinus infection nor are MRI's or even biopsies. The best is simply looking at the back of the throat to see if there is purulent drainage, in which case antibiotics are quite helpful. Otherwise anti-histamine decongestant combinations are a good idea if NOT a bacterial infection.

Consider seeing: An ENT doctor. He/she specializes in this combo of sinus pain and headache. Your doc can make a referral. There is a natural nasal spray called XLEAR that may be useful also. Peace and good health. Some folks prefer the use of a neti pot to cleanse nasal passages.

Do you think I have the flu? I'm not vomiting and I don't have diarreaah or but I have a sinus headache kinda and a stomach ache not bad sinus infect

Probably not flu: But may be some other viral illness. The flu (influenza) symptoms include:A 100 F or higher fever or feeling feverish (not everyone with the flu has a fever), A cough and/or sore throat, runny or stuffy nose. Headaches and/or body aches. Chills. Fatigue. The body aches and chills are quite severe. Maybe nausea and vomiting. The U.S. Flu season hasn't really started yet. Get your flu shot!

What's the difference between a sinus headache and a sinus infection? I've heard the term "sinus headache" used frequently.

What's the difference between a sinus headache and a sinus infection? I've heard the term "sinus headache" used frequently.

Not always sinuses: The term sinus headache is way overused. In fact, many "sinus" headache patients have completely clear sinuses on scans. Meaning it never was coming from the sinuses! migraine is a missed diagnosis in many such patients. If you have sinus infection there is often facial and/or dental pain, nasal drainage, congestion, cough, bad breath, fever etc. If it's just pressure, it is headache.

Say I have knee inflamation from my sinus headache/infection, does that mean its bacterial?

ECG: It is certainly better to have a normal ECG than an abnormal one. It doen't prove nothing is wrong but makes it more likely.

Stuffy nose. Coughing. Sinus headache. Coughing up green phlgem. Could this be a sinus infection?

Stuffy nose. Coughing. Sinus headache. Coughing up green phlgem. Could this be a sinus infection?

Green Sputum: Yes, it could be a sinus infection. We always worry about pneumonia, but if you feel generally well, have no fever or chest pain, and can breath normally, you most likely do not have pneumonia. Sinus infections can respond to decongestants and nasal saline, but persistent ones may require antibiotics. Otc cough suppressants can help your cough, especially at night, and tylenol (acetaminophen) can help the ha.

I recently had a throat infection and cold. Now I have a sinus headache. Throbbing pain in the region between the eyebrows! I have exams coming up!

I recently had a throat infection and cold. Now I have a sinus headache. Throbbing pain in the region between the eyebrows! I have exams coming up!

Get checked: New sinus pain after a recent cold may suggest bacterial sinus infection (the cold virus incapacitates natural defenses against bacteria). You may need treatment in order to feel well and perform at your best on exams.

What can my grandfather take for a sinus headache, when he takes medication for parkinsons?

What can my grandfather take for a sinus headache, when he takes medication for parkinsons?

Soe meds are safe: Tylenol, (acetaminophen) antihistamines (eg Claritin alavert etc, not with "d") should not react with his parkinsons meds. Prescription nasal steroids are also helpful. Frequently "sinus" headaches are actually migraines and are treated much differently. He should discuss this with his primary care doc.

Is it normal to feel nauseas with a sinus headache?

Is it normal to feel nauseas with a sinus headache?

Depends: Some people equate facial pressure or sinus pressure with a headache. This problem may be due to allergies or a sinus infection infection. This shouldn't cause nausea. If your headache is more of a migraine condition, then nausea would be commonly associated with that. If this is a longstanding problem for you, you should see a doctor to sort this out.

How to get rid of my sinus headache?

How to get rid of my sinus headache?

Depends: Sinus headache is caused by a difference in pressure between the sinus cavity and the outside world. The drainage pathway of the sinuses are narrow. When swelling occurs in the nasal cavity, this becomes blocked. Reversing the swelling will allow for the pressure to equalize. Knowing the cause of the swelling helps determine what works best - uri, allergy, infection, etc. See your doctor or ent.
