Is it normal to feel nauseas with a sinus headache?

Is it normal to feel nauseas with a sinus headache?

Depends: Some people equate facial pressure or sinus pressure with a headache. This problem may be due to allergies or a sinus infection infection. This shouldn't cause nausea. If your headache is more of a migraine condition, then nausea would be commonly associated with that. If this is a longstanding problem for you, you should see a doctor to sort this out. ...Read more

Sinus headache or migraine? Nausea too.

Sinus headache or migraine? Nausea too.

Migraine: I hear it all the time: "I got sinus, doc." They're wrong. That's a myth perpetrated back in the decades of "postnasal drip" i.e. the 50s & 60s by the advertisers of Dristan. 99% of all "sinus" headaches - aren't. They're mostly migraines. If you have radiological proof of sinusitis and your pain goes away if it's treated, then you're entitled to the diagnosis of sinus headaches. Otherwise, not. ...Read more

I have pain on the right side of my head, feel watery behind my eyes, nasal congested, slight nausea. Sinus headache or something else?

I have pain on the right side of my head, feel watery behind my eyes, nasal congested, slight nausea. Sinus headache or something else?

Yes and yes: Nausea + head pain can occur with sinusitis &/or migraines. Sinusitis and migraines are closely related--One can cause the other, and you can eventually have both. If no fever, treat the sinusitis first with a neti pot and/or long acting pseudoephedrine (if you don't have high BP), use naproxen if you still have a headache. If symptoms don't improve in a few days, go to your clinic to follow up ...Read more

Rct on #10 by endo 2months ago. Pressure in upper jaw into sinus, headache, nausea. Doc says wait for jawbone to rebuild but apico possible. Wait months with these symptoms or get apico surgery?

Differential Dx: Personally, I doubt the headache, nausea and even the sinus pain is related to an unresolved infection on #10, especially if the rct was done by an endodontist and two months ago. I recommend you do two things. First, have the endodontist re-evaluate your tooth. Seek a second opinion if necessary. Second, see your primary care physician for a medical evaluation. ...Read more

Unlikely.: You can try. It might help hydrate your mucus a little more and if it indeed does, it will clear better from the sinus. Yes, or it could be: A separate condition (s). An EENT MD can quickly figure out if you have sinus conditions and if they caused your headaches. If so, treat that first. But, SSRI's are known to cause lots of side effects, including the ones you have. If nothing else pans, go to your prescribing MD (for the Prozac) and ask if another med might do.
