Taste disturbances: Sinus infections make food taste bad for several reasons: 1. Swelling in the sinuses can disturb the sense of smell which is important in our 'taste' of food. 2. Purulent (infected fluid) discharge drains down the back of the throat and into the mouth and pus never tastes nice 3. The fluid also drains down into the stomach and makes one nauseated. Have severe sinus infect. taking 600mg Cefdinik daily.Big adenoids, Bloody nose down throat, rust smell, scratchy throat. Just a bloody nose draining?
Do sinus infections cause nose bleeds? I also have a bad taste in my mouth, ear popping, throat pain, and nasal congestion.
Symptoms: nasal congestion and very bad smell from nose, no sinusitis but enlarged turbinates. Could surgery help eliminate the smell?
