Hemoptysis?: Is the blood really in saliva? Or in mucus coughed up from below? Coughing up blood (hemoptysis) is often minor, and can occur with bronchitis. If you get acid: Reflux all the way into your nasal passages, then you are in a lot of trouble since your epiglottis is supposed to stop this from happening normally. You may have high blood pressure caused by GERD that can precipitate a nosebleed. Or you may have sinuses that are dry/ inflamed from allergies/ sneezing/ postnasal drip that can bleed.
