Hypothetical: Do you have confirmed lyme disease or is there suspicion that you could potentially have? Do you also have a confirmed sinus abscess or instead do you have a garden variety sinus infection? Lyme should be vigorously treated with appropriate antibiotics. Likely: Fluid in the mastoid air cells is a common finding which is almost always related to inner ear infections. Treatment consists of a decongestant and sometimes antibiotics. Cold Tooth: Are you a grinder or clencher? If so this tooth might be taking the majority of the abuse and can be sensitive to cold especially at the facial gumline. If above is negative then may be cracked tooth syndrome especially if the tooth has a large filling (sometimes virgin teeth have this) and an endodontic evaluation would be in order.
