No elevation : Tiger, i can't find any evidence that any of those medications will increase your alk phos and i used them with patients regularly. Singulair is an anti-inflammatory used for asthma/allergies and it blocks certain areas of the inflammatory pathway. Both Hydroxyzine and zyrtec are traditional anti-histamines and block histamine binding to cells. Do you have elevated alk phos? Why was it checked? ...Read more

Assistance program: There is another leukotriene pathway medication called zileuton cr, but it is brand-name only and requires monitoring liver function periodically. However, you should ask your doctor about the patient assistance programs through the drug manufacturers that make singulair and/or zileuton.
