I am taking simvastatin + beta blocker in the evening. It was ok, but pravachol 10 mg + 5 mg amlodipine in the eveninggives nausea, fatigue and muscle pain. Any adjustments.?

Fine in combination: Hi. Simvastatin and atenolol are fine to take in combination. Simvastatin works best taken in the evening. It doesn't cause nausea but maybe if she takes it with dinner that might help her. Of course the nausea could be from many things, and she may need to see her doctor for that. Yes: You're 29? I assume you've never had a heart attack? If you have an inherited disease with severely elevated cholesterol, you should take the highest dose tolerated to avoid premature death. Otherwise, an LDL of <100 to 130 is your goal. Your doctor can titrate your dose to achieve that goal.
