Yes: The best way, of course, is by treating the graves' disease and getting the thyroid levels back to normal. But that can take time, so if symptoms such as heart pounding or racing, shakiness, or feeling nervous or jittery are causing problems, many doctors give a kind of blood pressure medicine called a bets-blocker to help with these. That's what they do: The medications you mention do that as part of their intended action. That's how dilation works. It's not an Asthma cure, but rather symptom relief. It mimics the release of adrenaline effects on our body that increase heart rate and breathing capacity to allow us to fight or flee is what it does. Indeed it can: There are a few ways that psychological symptoms can arise in lyme disease - the disease causes increased pressure in the head which affects blood flow and oxygen and causes all sorts of cognitive/emotional disturbances. My husband has Lyme disease he had a reoccurrence with nervousness and stiffness on doxycycline 100mg 7 days. Is that enough treatment?
Probably not but...: Acute lyme disease responds well to Doxycycline though lyme specialists advise 200 mg 2x/day for 30 days. If his recurrence is due to a new bite i advise that dose. If it's recurrence of previous infection, as dr. Raff mentions, this is a controversial subject. There is strong evidence lyme can persist (http://bit.Ly/1ffxjxl) but i feel antibiotics are seldom effective for chronic lyme.See comment:. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
